Harmonic Relief is a non-profit volunteer choral group comprised of adult men and women who share vocal jazz, pop, Broadway and blues music with audiences across the Twin Cities. They sing under the direction of Jodi Rowe and the choreography of Jess Berg.
This activity is made possible, in part, by funds provided by the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council through a grant from the McKnight Foundation and an appropriation by the Minnesota Legislature.
On January 8, 2008, Harmonic Relief was the recipient of a $3,000 grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council. The ceremony was held at the Burnsville City Hall. Present to accept the grant were Mike Kim, Harmonic Relief President (center) and Bob Gestner, Harmonic Relief Vice President (left). State Representative Nora Slawik (right) was also present. The funds are part of an appropriation from the Minnesota Legislature and a grant from The McKnight Foundation to insure that arts activities are available in communities across the metro area. The Metropolitan Regional Arts Council administers the grant program.
